Family-Owned. Rider-Founded. Built for The Herd.
Several years ago, as a club racer balancing family life and a growing list of sponsors, Rob, the co-founder of Bison faced a familiar problem: The extreme cost of a race suit, especially after it was altered to fit and customized with sponsor patches. Every option on the market came with trade-offs. On price, protection, or customization. It didn’t make sense. Together with his wife, Tosha, that frustration became a mission: build high-quality, fully bespoke race gear at a price riders could justify. The result was the original Thor.1 suit and glove system. Developed alongside race Ambassadors, packed with pro-level safety features, fully customizable, and delivered at a fraction of the typical cost. From the start, Bison focused on keeping overhead low, growing deliberately, and never compromising on protection or value.Since then, the gear has evolved through real-world use and constant feedback. Materials, ergonomics, and safety features have been refined to perform where it matters most; on the track and in the crash. As the brand grew, the founders stepped away from their careers, sold their home, and spent years on the road with their family, immersing themselves in the racing community and building Bison face-to-face at tracks across the country. While they are no longer on the road full time, that chapter continues to shape how Bison shows up for its riders today.Bison remains a family-built brand with a simple promise: race-proven gear, real relationships, and uncompromising value.
